Title: The Pink Lake
Description: It is quite something to see a pink lake. Hutt lagoon is a salt lake and is home to the world’s largest micro-algae production facility. The lake’s iconic pink colouring is a result of the algae production, which produces beta-carotene, a food-colouring agent. What amazed me most is that you would never know it was pink until you are up close and the sun is shining on it.
